Introduction

The journey began with an innovative vision: a search and browse application for global companies and their employees, but not just any search engine. This groundbreaking tool leverages Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to yield refined and relevant results. Commissioned by a renowned company in the Human Resources industry, the application is designed to learn from each search, delivering increasingly accurate results.

Challenges: Charting the Course

Overcoming significant challenges was essential for steering this project towards success. The first challenge was to simplify the search and browsing process for universal usability. Secondly, users needed motivation to use the full potential of the advanced tool.

To overcome these hurdles, two user paths were devised. The first is accessible to all non-registered users and is a straightforward journey. It starts at the main screen, where users input search terms, specify company location, and desired result quality. The system then displays five sample results for perusal. The second path is a deeper dive, leading users towards registration and customized package selection. This route offers an expansive array of results, detailed information, and an option to export data.

Design System: The Calm of the Open Seas

The design system embraces minimalism and draws inspiration from the serene, calming expanse of the ocean. It instills trust and inner peace from the very first screen, subtly conveying that searching can be as soothing as sailing. The aim is to reassure users that finding the right result, though daunting, can be a pleasant journey.

Outcome: A Smooth Sail

The final version of the application is a harmonious fusion of cutting-edge technology and user-centric design, primarily aimed at desktop use. Implemented using Angular and powered by AI and ML algorithms, the application swiftly presents the best results scoured from the web. The Elastic Search engine under the hood ensures lightning-fast processing of inquiries, contributing to a seamless User Experience (UX).

In the end, the objective was achieved: an application that simplifies the process of searching and browsing companies and employees globally, efficiently, intuitively, and pleasantly.
